I had already gone through shooting four bands until finally reaching Quicksand. I had endured extreme temperatures, equipment shutdowns and a crowd that challenged my steady shooting skills! Luckily, Quicksand's music wasn't going to rile up the crowd into a frenzy as both the night and temperature had fallen on the park.

With the dilemmas faced recording Ceremony and Cave In, I opted to shift camera views between Brodsky and Sergio depending on their playing of key parts to Quicksand songs. When Sergio played those identifiable bass lines, I made sure to focus on him and move back when it was done. When Brodsky was about to play his leads, I shifted over to highlight him and made sure to come back to Walter. I just left Alan alone as you can see him behind just banging away inbetween all three members.

I shot this set with the same set up used for the bands before: my large Shure mic and iPhone in its SmallRig cage. I disconnected from my powerbank because I had enough power to carry me to the end. Quicksand only played around 30 minutes so I was comfortable using the phone's remaining power.

This is the video I'm most proud of for this fest. Sure, I never got to record Avail's set but I like this because of my camera movements between members. Instead of just staying in one spot, I moved about in order to give each person their time in front of the camera. When I'm more comfortable, I hope to incorporate zooming in/out as part of my repertoire when I can master it during a performance.
