Many Italian soldiers rebelled against the armistice of September 8th and the manner in which it was achieved. But the National Republican Army had not yet been formed. Therefore, those who wished to continue fighting had few alternatives; one of these was to enlist in the Italian Waffen-SS.
Molti militari italiani si ribellarono all’armistizio dell’8 settembre e alle modalità con cui avvenne. Ma l’Esercito Nazionale Repubblicano non era stato ancora formato. Quindi chi voleva continuare a combattere aveva poche alternative; una di queste era arruoalarsi nelle Waffen SS Italiane.
