Today we're looking at stearin and paraffin candles. These candles were widely available in the early to mid 19th century. The affordability of the materials used to make the candles and advancements in the candle making process made these candles affordable to more people.
As with the other forms of light tested in this series, I'll be using a photometer and a measuring tape to get the most consistent light measurement.
