GFORGST brings to you this video about notices issued under income tax laws and GST. The reasons why income as per income tax returns does not match with GST is spread over a wide spectrum. However, it is also imperative to rectify and course correct instances of errors in reporting. Exempt turnover & export turnover although not carrying any GST liability are mandatorily to be reported.
Instances of missed invoices need to be rectified. Finance Act 2022 has extended the time limit to issue credit notes upto November 2022. Hence preparation of balance sheet and financial statements need to be done only after a 360 degree reconciliation with books and GST returns vis a vis IT returns.
