All NEW 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally - DRIVING Test

Описание: The Ford Mustang Mach-E® Rally is set to redefine the electric vehicle (EV) landscape by venturing into the world of rally sports. Unveiled at the IAA Mobility event in Munich, this rally-inspired EV is the latest addition to the Mustang Mach-E family, marking Ford's first foray into creating an EV designed for both tarmac and dirt roads. Donna Dickson, the chief engineer of Mustang Mach-E, highlighted the vehicle's unique features, including a rally-tuned suspension, a dual motor electric powertrain, and a distinctive design, attributing its creation to the passion and creativity of the Model e team.

The Mustang Mach-E Rally boasts a powerful two-motor layout targeting at least 880 Nm of torque and 358 kW of power, supported by a 91 kWh lithium-ion battery. It stands out with a raised suspension, specially tuned springs, MagneRide® shocks, and 385‑millimetre front brake discs. The vehicle's design is complemented by gloss white 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels, inspired by Ford's rich rally heritage, and Michelin CrossClimate2 tyres that offer enhanced grip on loose surfaces. To ensure durability during off-road adventures, the vehicle features protective shielding, protective film on door cladding and wheel arches, and styled mud flaps.

Ford has introduced the first-ever RallySport Drive Mode for the Mustang Mach-E Rally, tailored for off-road driving. This mode adjusts electronic control systems to allow bigger slides, a linear throttle response, and more aggressive damping, ensuring optimal handling in loose corners. Furthermore, this drive mode, combined with the new tyres, enhances the vehicle's performance in snowy and other slippery conditions. To ensure the vehicle's robustness, Ford developed a new rally course at its Michigan Proving Ground, where the Mustang Mach-E Rally underwent rigorous testing, simulating real-world rally-cross conditions.

Aesthetically, the Mustang Mach-E Rally sports a dramatic rear spoiler inspired by the Focus® RS, unique contrasting accents, rally-inspired fog lights, and two racing stripes. The interior showcases gloss white accents, distinctive Ford-designed performance seats with gloss white seatbacks, and "Mach-E Rally" branding. Jim Farley, Ford's chief executive officer, emphasized that the Mustang Mach-E Rally embodies Ford's longstanding passion for rally championships, offering customers an unparalleled driving experience on gravel and dirt roads. The vehicle is set to be available for orders in early 2024, with deliveries commencing shortly after.
