Описание: Today on Workshop Quick Takes (wqt): Now and then you do something to a car that isn't the end of the world, but you still hear a sickly splash as your heart drops into your stomach. Broken bolts can sometimes do that. Today, we're dealing with broken threads, this time on our oil pan drain plug.

Join us under-side a 2015 Honda Pilot as we provide a detailed tutorial on restoring a cast aluminum oil pan using a size-over replacement bolt. This pan has some kind of taper inside the bolt hole, so officially, there's no recommendation for this technique at the local parts counter. But with a couple more tools and a cautionary re-flush of the pan, we can get it working again.
