Описание:
Night bird of cryptic pattern. Widely distributed and common in Central and South America, with limited range in the United States. Found in shrubby woods. Decorated with gray, gold and brown. Note the tan cheeks and golden edges on the back and wing feathers. In flight, notice the outer white tail feathers and a white bar across the wings. He sleeps on the floor during the day. Actively hunts for insects at night. The song is very distinctive, rich, slightly emotional "pur-WEEooo". Relatively long tail compared to other similar nocturnal birds.
