Matric Board Exam 2026: English Paper Today, 5.61 Lakh Students Appear Under AI & CCTV Surveillance

Odisha News Update: The second paper of the Matric Board Examination 2026 is being conducted today across the state, with students appearing for the English subject. This year, a total of 5,61,979 students are taking the exam at 3,082 centres starting from 9 AM.

To ensure a fair and smooth examination process, the Odisha government has implemented strict security measures. All nodal centres and examination halls are under CCTV surveillance, with live monitoring from a centralized control room. Live streaming arrangements have been made in 1,364 centres.

AI-based technology is being used to monitor question paper hubs, while police personnel have been deployed at all centres. A three-tier squad system and special vigilance teams are conducting surprise inspections. To prevent question paper leaks, QR codes and watermarks have been embedded in the question papers. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside exam centres.
