Lancer ▸ Deltarune 【 Electro-Jazz Remix 】

Описание: I'm finally back to composing and uploading electro-jazz, my preferred genre! I took a little break from it so that I could get inspiration later. That's also part of the reason as to why there haven't been any uploads. I also lost my project files...

Anyway, this is a Deltarune theme! Deltarune is Toby Fox's newest game, set in an alternate universe to Undertale. This specific theme really fit the genre, and it's my favorite from the game, so far.

▾ About this Remix ▾

This is the theme of Lancer, a really cute and funny "bad guy" who tries his best to stop the heroes from reaching their goal but ends up failing miserably... The original track is already extremely jazzy, even with 8-bit instruments, and it caught my attention from the first time I listened to it!

I tried my best to add new parts which fit the original feeling and melody, while innovating a bit, by adding calm variations to an otherwise remarkably upbeat track. To my surprise, I managed to fit many of my favorite chord progression models in the track, without them feeling out of place or forced. Slight inspiration on another one of my tracks, "Latin Smoothers".

The instruments used are the Grand Piano, the Alto and Soprano Sax, the Electric Keyboard, the 8-bit synth, the String Ensemble, the Acoustic Bass and the Jazz Drumkit.
