The CAGED System is a valuable tool to help you organize your fretboard in a systematic way. The CAGED System can open up your whole fretboard and help you with improvising (soloing), learning chords up and down the neck, combining chords with licks and riffs and much more.
This is lesson 2 in our series “The CAGED System”. In lesson 1 I showed you how you can use the CAGED System to play 1 chord up and down the fretboard. In this lesson I show you how the Major Pentatonic Scale fits around those chords, and how you can use it to create licks, riffs, and fills.
