Bobcat S70 First Day Snow Removal: Narrow Sidewalks in Šiauliai Lithuania

Описание: On February 7th we did our very first job for *Ecoservice – Lithuania’s leading environmental management and municipal services company* with over 1,200 employees and 250+ trucks, responsible for waste collection, city cleaning, street maintenance and snow removal across the country (https://ecoservice.lt/en/) – clearing snow in Šiauliai, Lithuania ❄️

First task: the technical sidewalk on Dubijos Street from the Railway Station all the way to Ežero Street, including the bus stop after it.

The sidewalk was extremely narrow – our Bobcat S70 just barely fit, but every few meters new obstacles appeared (lighting poles, etc.). We constantly had to jump off and back on the sidewalk to clear everything properly.

You won’t see the jumping in this video, but you WILL see us learning how to load the truck for the first time 😂

Our supervisor Viktoras Šimutis quickly found a low-sided truck because the first one had high boards all around and the Bobcat simply couldn’t load into it.

There is seriously A LOT of snow in Šiauliai right now – that’s why they called our compact Bobcat S70. With its 91 cm wide bucket it loaded 8 m³ in 1–1.5 hours, while the rest of the time we cleared the sidewalk and made neat piles for faster loading.

So please don’t judge us too harshly – this was literally our very first day on the job! 🚜
