Since 2018, Ethiopia has become one of the greatest miracles of our time: a dictatorship in the midst of a democratization process. One of the poorest countries in the world in the 1980s, it has become one of the fastest growing economies. All this is due to its Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, who has already accumulated one Nobel Peace Prize and two mentions from VisualPolitik.
However, all these efforts seem to be fading with the outbreak of war in the northern region of Tigray. The authorities of this region have defied the Federal Government and a war has broken out. A war that has brought out the more authoritarian side of Abiy Ahmed.
