Описание: The Giant Kingfisher Trail👣in the Wilderness National Park🏞️, Western Cape, South Africa, is a ±9km trail that starts at the Ebb & Flow rest camp🏕️ and ends at a waterfall💦. Most of trail is shaded by the indigenous forest🌳with around 40% of the trail on elevated boardwalks. I found the trail to be rather moderate with little difficulty required as it is almost completely flat (with the exception of a few stairs to climb) but the scenery is breathtaking as you are spoiled by a diverse plant & animal life and a bird watchers paradise. Not far into the trail there is a option of crossing the river at a shallower end over pebbles, or for more the more adventurous a pontoon crossing where you hoist yourself across the river. The waterfall💦is spectacular😍as you are treated to 2 of them, 1 at the lower section of the cliff & another at its upper section where you are allowed to swim🏊♂️and have a picnic🥪🥤. The waterfall is also the end of trail at which point you return using the same route👍.
