This video is the first in a series of videos were I rebuild a Ford 400 engine out of my Ford F-350. In this video I inspect the engine and try to determine if the mile of 77,000 is correct.
The Ford 400 is in the 351m/ modified engine family. The 351m/400 also share the same bell housing bolt pattern as the Ford 429 and the 460 big blocks. This allows for easy engine swaps to the big block engines or you can add a Ford C6 transmission behind the Ford 351m/400 engines.
As I tare down this engine you will see normal ware and tare on this Ford 400 engine. I am no professional but I think I can handle this job and so can you! I am rebuilding this Ford 400 engine because I want my numbers to match on this truck.
Why replace something that we can rebuild!
