The Auburn Tigers are off to a red hot start in head coach Hugh Freeze's third season. After defeating Baylor on the road, and dominating Ball State University in their home opener the Tigers cracked the AP Top 25 rankings. @TheWarRapport co-creator and co-host Mike Gittens breaks down the dominant Tigers performance at Jordan-Hare Stadium. He explains there's a reason to be optimistic because of the tremendous amount of talent on the Tigers' roster, but there's still more work to do.
The headlines belonged mostly to the Auburn offense this offseason, but one defensive back made his impact known with plenty of big hits against Ball State. Sylvester Smith may not have been one of the players experts looked at closely. He had several big hits on The Plains to put everyone on notice. It also showcased how dangerous DJ Durkin's defense can be for the Tigers this season.
Auburn also has a new experience for fans just ahead of the 4th quarter during home games. Mike Gittens reflects on how the fan base and the team gets energized with the "Swag Surf" and the light show heading into the 4th and final quarter of games.
