October is upon us, which means It's time for a yet another Akumajo Dracula cover.
This song is one of my favorites in the series, and is definitely in my top 3 favorite DS era themes! I tried to match the original's vibe closely, not sure if I succeeded in that or not.
So... to be honest, since I planned to arrange this theme for a very long time I've envisioned this cover a little different in my head. As is often the case, my ambitions were far greater than my current skills required to make them real lol (just to give you an idea, I planned to reference a Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement of all things). I'm not quite sure if the new parts that did make the cut after the 2nd loop fit in well or not. Should sound decent enough though, I think...
I do really like how the Calling from Heaven part came out though.
Lastly I wanna say that the DS trilogy of Castlevania is where the series peaked for me. Yes, even Dawn with it's osu seals thing.
