This Fat Chance Belly Dance-inspired piece set to the music by Raquy and the Cavemen was presented in Safar-e-Raqs II, an 80 minute belly dance production that charts the journey of belly dance from the 1700s to present day - through different social, political and cultural landscapes. The piece was performed by the Intermediate batch - Aritree, Deepa, Pari, Dinesh, Rituparna, Anshul, Kumuda, Smita, Taposhi, Ammu, Amulya, Shubhra - along with mentor, Debapriya Das.
Safar-E-Raqs II was presented in Bangalore, July 2nd, 2022 at the Bangalore International Centre.
Nrityakosh is a performance house and a school for belly dancers and belly dance enthusiasts. We specialize in the Egyptian Oriental and Tribal Fusion forms of Belly Dance along with Kathak, Contemporary and Bollywood dance.
