Battles on the sea are tricky. It can happen on the surface of the sea, from the air or below it. Imagine a career in the Navy where you are trained to counter it all. It needs a steady building of leadership qualities and the ability to deal with uncertainty.

A career in the Navy – as with any of the other armed forces, comes without a fixed job description. It requires one to make very tough on-the-spot decisions.

Yet it is a career that is incredibly fulfilling. One where you make friends and memories of a lifetime. And even after you retire, the world sees you as a veteran.

As the Captain of INS Taragiri, he has led extensive relief operations in Sri Lanka after the Tsunami of 2005. He was awarded the prestigious Nao Sena Medal for sustained meritorious service by the President of India on 26 Jan 2018.

Presently, he is a Distinguished Senior Fellow at Defence Studies and Research (DRaS), a Kochi based think tank on Military Affairs.

He is also active in the areas of Coaching, Training and Mentoring. His experience is invaluable and his service to the country even more so. We are honoured to have him on board as our guest.
