If you are watching a video, or just doing something else, a wall could demand that you scan your license or run a credit card to prove you're an adult. And if you use a card? Google admits in the fine print they keep your financial data indefinitely for "legal reasons." People have also been getting emails saying they have 14 days to verify or your account gets wiped. Refuse and you're locked out. And in some regions your verified age gets handed straight to third-party apps. So much for the anonymous internet, I guess. In this video I get into the verification wall, the card data they quietly keep, the 14-day countdown, how it chokes small creators, and where your face scan actually ends up after you upload it.
