'Ekirale' literally translates as 'legacy'. This music brings out the Kitooro traditional philosophy of human transcendence - overcoming the limits of space and time.
According to the Batooro, a human being through his wise actions (amagezi), human behavior (obuntu) and hard work leaves enduring mark on the face of society and in the consciousness of the people. The music (By Kigambo Araali) challenges leaders, families, clans and individuals to build for the future, leave enduring mark and survive positively in the posterity - Stephen Rwagweri (Engabu Za Tooro Executive Director).
