Submarine Driving on the Street: Heavy Haulage of U-Boat U17 to Exhibition

Описание: On May 21, 2023, the heavy transport of the U-boat U17 to the Speyer Museum of Technology took place. Four heavy haulage trucks were needed to transport the 500-ton submarine on 32 axles 4 kilometers to the museum site. There it is to be prepared for onward transport to the nearby Museum of Technology Sinsheim.

The journey of U17 originally began on April 29 in Kiel and led first through the Kiel Canal (   • Submarine U17 in the Kiel Canal  ) and later on the Rhine past the the Cologne Cathedral to the harbor of Speyer.
