Eighteen years after Michuda Construction built the original LINAC vault at Advocate Christ Medical Center, our team was trusted once again to deliver its transformation. This complex renovation upgraded the vault and adjacent control room into a state-of-the-art oncology treatment space — all while keeping the hospital’s oncology department fully operational.
The project included integration of a Varian Linear Accelerator (LINAC), Varian HDR, and Brainlab ExactTrack X-Ray system, supported by chilled water cooling, uninterrupted power supply, and extensive underground MEP upgrades. From coordinating multiple equipment vendors to delivering precise architectural and millwork details, Michuda’s team executed every element with discipline and care.
