Hello, I've just finished listening to this series of lectures once and my life has been improving in ways I didn't think possible. I am European and thought that Confucian wisdom was outdated, rigid and had no value outside of Asia. I also thought that a series of teaching for children could not be useful to adults like me.
I had never been so wrong! Since listening to this teachings I have understood the importance of filial piety, social harmony and love for others. My relations with others are improving daily, and so are my good habits. If my life and characters has improved so much in just the little time it took me to listen to the lectures, how much more will it improve if I strive to practice for the rest of my life?
I also have to say that many of the teachings resemble closely what the older generations here (my grandparents and older) used to teach, especially about the importance of respecting elders, the value of family, the importance of being tidy and orderly. Goes to show that true wisdom is the same for all humans.
