Описание: Punjab Government to Upgrade Roads in Jalandhar, Amritsar, and Ludhiana with ₹140 Crore World-Class Project

The Punjab roads will be upgraded to the best. The three key cities will be getting roads with world-class services, including better pedestrian safety, road durability, enhanced traffic flow, providing convenience and safety to the travellers or commuters.

The project is worth ₹140 crore and will improve the quality of the roads spanning to around 42 kilometers. The three cities which will be benefitted are Jalandhar, Amritsar and Ludhiana.

The new initiative will bring changes like -

• Smart drainage systems to prevent waterlogging
• Streetlights, pedestrian walkways, and bus stops of global standards
• Green landscaping to reduce pollution and dust

Finance Minister of Punjab - Harpal Singh Cheema has outlined that this project is inspired from the roads and infrastructure in foreign countries, including Germany and Australia.
