New year, new suit! Usually I try and do my own arrangement of old blues songs, but with Reverend Gary Davis there's nothing I can add, so I've just tried to play it the way he does. Which is bloody difficult! And I guess it's gospel rather than blues, going all the way back to the Old Testament.
Bizarrely, I first heard Reverend Gary Davis when a black belt from University of Leeds Karate Society (I think he was called Ali) lent me a copy of Harlem Street Singer.
