How do we know the price is going to drift?

There are a number of key factors in a horse race that is a good pre-cursor to drifting odds. Horses are not machines and if they don't feel like turning up for a race or are somewhat nervous that will affect the price.

Early in the flat turf racing season, you get a lot of two-year-old horses that race under rules for the first time. This can present quite a few opportunities to get a profitable trade.

We'll go through some examples so that you can see how this works in practice. We identify races of interest, then what sort of things are looking for in the actual horse race preliminaries.
