I set out for Sundial Peak expecting a smooth autumn hike… but the mountain had other plans. From the steady climb through golden aspens to the exposed scramble above Lake Blanche, this route pushed me in ways I didn’t anticipate — and rewarded me with some of the most dramatic views in the Wasatch.
