Well well well a book that I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I disliked thoroughly. That triggered me by how frequent the negative fatphobic dialogue was. How it felt like a constant barrage of all the horrible things people have said to me about my body collected in one “romance novel” add to that a shitty ex-friend relationship that reminded me so much of an ex-boyfriend of mine that I did NOT have a good time reading this. I can honestly say that if you had told me that our leading lady Bea was gonna be a bad ass 30 year old boss bitch fashion blogger who we would spend 80% of this book with her immature inner monologue that was also self deprecating, negative, and reaffirming of the perception that plus sized folks have this horrible experience with living in their bodies I would have NEVER picked this up. But it’s supposed to be a light hearted and fun romance novel... where though?!

Add in “Token” representation of various ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender.... you’ve got yourself a ball of Issues!! I didn’t even recognize that one of the main love interest’s in this is Asian.... UM???!!! Where was this even mentioned?!

I don’t recommend this clearly. I think this book is damaging to plus sized persons. I would be interested to discuss why someone did enjoy this and their thoughts but for me it’s a ⭐️/5.
