The Samson Q7x and Samson Q8x are flagship dynamic supercardioid microphones from @samsontech. Both mics have a tailored midrange presence. Both mics have a frequency response of 50 Hz – 16 kHz. Only difference is that the Samson Q8x has a 8kHz boost. The Samson Q7x has an impendance of 200 ohms while the Samson Q8x has an impedence of 300 ohms.
The plosives are handled well on this mics but I would still recommend a windscreen or a pop filter. The mics require less gain compare to the Shure SM58. Both mics are currently priced for half the price of the Shure SM58. If you are interested in buying it here in the Philippines, both mics are priced ₱3590 at @AudiophileComponents local stores.
