To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Flying Scotsman's arrival to Australia in 1988, I'll be uploading videos that documented the engine's journey across the country.
This is taken from the DVD 'Flying Scotsman Down Under' that was released by ABC Australia in 2004. It was however released on VHS in 1991. The DVD covers Flying Scotsman's Australian journey between 1988 - 1989 including its epic trip to Alice Springs, double heading with Australia's equalivant of Flying Scotsman, 3801, it's loading from London and unloading at Sydney etc. all presented by ABC journalist and steam enthusiast, the late Jim Revitt.
