This blues motif was taken from solo by the great swing jazz tenor saxophonist, Ike Quebec, on a tune called Later for the Rock. The lick is at 3:00 in this F Blues (transposed key for tenor sax). The tune can be found on Ike Quebec: The Complete Blue Note 45 Sessions. The lick begins with a pentatonic sequence that develops into a repeated triplet figure using an alternate fingering along with the jazz articulation I cover in my lesson series called Advanced Jazz Articulation!
I have many jazz tutorials for those interested in learning to play jazz and learning to play the saxophone!
