If you haven’t used our Pro tip from our above video, let’s start unmerging cells in excel. There are several ways to Unmerge cells. I’ll show you all of them. Let’s start.

*Procedure 1: * Select merged cell and click on the “Home tab” now from the “Merged and Center” Dropdown click on “Unmerge Cell”. Easy, right? What if you have a lot to merged cells? Finding those merged cell manually would be tough. Don’t worry, I have a solution for that also.

*Procedure 2: * This procedure will depend on searching and selecting all the merged cell. Press CTRL + F or from the “Find and Select” Dropdown select “Find”. Now Click on “Format” and check mark “Merge Cells” from the “Text Control” option. This will find all the merged cell from your worksheet. Now select all from the find list and click on Unmerge from the
“Merge and Center” Dropdown.

*Procedure 3: * If you watched our video on review tab, learn everything About Review Tab in Excel in Bangla:    • Learn everything About Review Tab In Excel...   you’ll know merged cell will cause accessibility issue. So, we can unmerge using the accessibility feature. Click on the “Review Tab” now click on “Check Accessibility” Now at the right side of your window Accessibility pane will open where it will give you warning for merged cell. From here you’ll be select each cell and then unmerge from here.

*Procedure 4: * You can unmerge cell by pressing ALT + H + M + U on your keyboard after selecting all your merged cells.

*Procedure 5: * You can also unmerge cell by clearing the cell formatting. Select the cells you want to unmerge. Go to “Home” tab. Now click on “Clear” dropdown and select “Clear Formats”
