- 1 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
- Salt to taste
- Ghee or oil for cooking

1. Mix maize flour, carom seeds, and salt in a bowl.
2. Add hot water and knead into a soft dough.
3. Divide into equal portions and roll into balls.
4. Flatten each ball into a thick roti using a rolling pin or by patting with hands.
5. Cook on a hot tawa with ghee or oil until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
