How to control fat with an Ayurvedic diet!
1. Fasting.
2. Reduce oily foods & add excessive oil to foods. Ghee is great but should only be used sparingly.
3. Having light warm soups for dinner instead of a full meal.
4. Reduce overall intake of salt in the diet.
5. Reduce guru foods - all heavy foods are difficult to digest & can increase Kapha - eg: wheat, potatoes, overdoing on nuts like almonds, cashews, etc.
6. Reduce Madhura - sweet-tasting foods increase Kapha manifold.
7. Include cooked bitter veggies in the diet.
✅ Remember: All these diet changes are important, but exercise is more important to break down the Kapha! So get moving!
