In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a meridian describes a pathway that runs through the entire body. According to this, the life energy, called Qi, flows in the meridians. The acupuncture points, through which the Qi can be influenced, lie along the meridians. They get their energy from the chakras that are superior to them. Qi energizes, nourishes and warms all organs, sense organs and tissues. Meridians connect the organs with each other and counteract disease-causing factors. There are twelve main meridians in total, which are named after organ systems or functional circuits. The twelve skin meridians run in mirror image on both halves of the body. In addition, each meridian also carries a naming after a yin (female) or yang (male) aspect. A yin and a yang meridian together form a pair.

In this healing video, the heart meridian is activated and any blockages can dissolve. Symptoms of a blocked heart meridian are trouble sleeping, pathological sweating, mental problems, palpitations, shoulder and chest pain, heart problems, dizziness, blood pressure fluctuations, bleeding gums, paleness and nervousness.

The Heart meridian forms a pair with the Small Intestine meridian.
