Local 8-year-old girl wins National BMX Racing Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. (WKRC) - A local 8-year-old girl is on her way home Sunday night after winning the National Championship in BMX Racing in her division.
Aubrey "Airtime" Palmer from Florence, Kentucky rides in the USA BMX National Circuit in the 8-year-old Novice Division, competing against the fastest kids in the country.
This weekend in South Carolina she was faster than everyone else, beating out other racers who were all ranked in the Top 10 in the country.
This win was her 10th win on the national circuit in her division.
With her win this weekend, she qualified for the World Championships and will represent Team USA in July.
Aubrey was also featured in a previous Local 12 story about the Broken Spokes Festival.
