The Steamrail Victoria Goulburn Valley Explorer on January 17, 2026, is a heritage diesel tour from Southern Cross to Nagambie and Murchison East, featuring historic 1960s EMD locomotives (T356 and A66) and carriages dating from 1906. The journey includes a fast, scenic trip across the Great Dividing Range and volcanic plains, with leisure time for lunch in the lakeside town of Nagambie or at the historic Railway Hotel in Murchison East.
