4K Drone Footage - Alcova Lake Lowest Level In 80+ Years - Crazy Scenic Shores - Incredible Views

Описание: In this video, I show you the Alcova Lake shore-line as it's never been seen before. After the dam was built, the lake was filled in 1938. Every year in the fall, the lake is lowered by about 10 feet from it's summer level to prevent the boat docks from being damaged by the winter ice. However, in 2020, the lake needed to be lowered by an extra 29 feet so maintenance could be performed on the spillway.

This presented an incredible opportunity to explore the new shore-line and all of it's long covered features. Also, the effect of water on the terrain that was covered for so long is amazing. The lake will be refilled to it's winter level in December, so this glimpse of what lies below the normal lake's surface is a once in a life time opportunity.
