What to Expect at MESA Day | Mesa Police Department

Описание: Thinking about a career with the Mesa Police Department? This video gives you a real look at MESA Day, where applicants complete the Cooper Test, our current physical fitness assessment.

As of January, Mesa PD transitioned from POPAT to the Cooper Test, which includes:
• Push-ups (1 minute)
• Sit-ups (1 minute)
• A 1.5 mile run

During MESA Day, applicants complete these events while meeting recruiters, hiring staff, and future teammates. Applicants also learn about the background investigation phase of the hiring process, including an overview of eSOPH, common do’s and don’ts, and frequent pitfalls that can impact an application.

Mesa PD is committed to clear expectations and strong preparation. While fitness standards may continue to evolve as we review data, our goal remains the same: prepare applicants to be ready for the academy and the job.
