The first batch of official entries for the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival is finally here!

Announced on July 8, 2025 by the MMFF Committee, these 4 films are the first half of this year’s Magic 8 lineup:

1️⃣ Call Me Mother – Vice Ganda & Nadine Lustre in a comedy-drama by Jun Robles Lana
2️⃣ Rekonek – Carmina Villarroel, Gerald Anderson, Alexa Miro in a family drama by Jade Castro
3️⃣ Manila’s Finest – Piolo Pascual in a gritty crime thriller by Rae Red
4️⃣ Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins – Ivana Alawi, Francine Diaz, Richard Gutierrez in a horror reboot

📅 Key Dates:

Parade of Stars: December 19, 2025 (Makati)

Screenings Start: December 25, 2025

Awards Night: December 27, 2025
