Billy in the Low Ground is a well-known fiddle tune, popular in both old time and bluegrass circles. There are also about as many versions/renditions of this tune as there are fiddlers. This rendition comes from the fiddling of Erynn Marshall. She played it in the key of A, but I transposed her rendition into the key of C, which is probably the most common key for this tune. I’ve added a few little tweaks as well. Banjo is in the Double C tuning (gCGCD).
