I have a nice little analog-to-digital (A-D) board using the PCF8591 chip. It has 4 analogue channels, and on the board is a LDR (for light sensing), thermistor (temperature) and a variable resistor (trimmer), which makes it a great bargain for £1.
The 8591 can connect to the micro:bit using the two wires of the I2C interface, so I show how to do this, and how to talk to the chip (and read light values) using Python.
