Short lived single season toon, only 10 episodes but somehow had a Super Nintendo game?! Apparently both sucked. I think I rented the game once and can confirm that it did suck. Though I never saw the show, Family Dog still lives on in the back of my mind lol. This "adult" cartoon was the first collaboration between Steven Spielberg and Tim Burton, the show itself is based on a 1987 episode of Amazing Stories that featured 3 "Family Dog" shorts. The Amazing Stories episode was written and directed by Brad Bird, exec. produced by Spielburg and gained a lot of praise. However, the 1993 series was made without Brad Bird at all, they added Tim Burton as another exec. producer alongside Spielburg but ended up not doing so well. Here are the final 2 episodes that aired back to back July 28th, 1993 on CBS with original commercials.
