The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Odisha will begin from April 1, the State Chief Electoral Officer announced on Friday, adding that the process aims to ensure a clean and accurate voter list ahead of future elections.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated a new sulphuric acid plant at the premises of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) in Paradip, highlighting the Centre’s focus on industrial growth and rural development in Odisha.
The state may experience a brief spell of relief from the rising mercury as light to moderate rain and thunderstorm are expected in parts of Odisha for two days on March 8 and 9, the IMD predicted on Thursday.
