Daily Dose of Metal's Top Five Songs of 2025

Описание: Well, 2025 has swiftly come to an end, and we are now in the final hours of the year. 2026 is just around the corner.

This video is a compilation of my 5 favorite songs of 2025, based on the following factors.

1 - How closely the final song was to my overall idea at the start of the process. How much does the final song resemble what I heard in my head, as well as the basic concept.

2 - Emotional depth, lyrical quality, and energy. Did it move me? Did it get me in the mood to play a game? Did it make me think?

3 - Overall, just how did the song make me feel? Does it check all the boxes?


There were a lot of songs that could have easily made the list. There were so many songs that turned out so great and really reached me in the end. So many that were so replayable, so enjoyable, so emotionally impactful.

Ultimately, it came down to five that I just really enjoyed both making and listening to.

They are:

1 - Knights of the Abyssal Deep. A great song to listen to while doing some dungeon diving, whether as a tabletop RPG, or a PC game. Inspired by many D&D sessions.

2 - Universal Mind. A song inspired by the idea that we are all somehow connected by a singular universal consciousness. This song feels so rich and emotional.

3 - Eternal Drift. A song of isolation, quietude, and hope.. Inspired by many sessions of space-based gameplay, including Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous

4 - Terminal Velocity. Really captures the energy and excitement of skydiving. Pretty much dead-on what I had imagined in my head at the start.

5 - Threads of Infinity. The first song by our virtual band, Callibria. I had the idea of a really cool progressive metal band fronted by a female singer (too few of these, really). The style and sound is so far beyond what I could have hoped for.

2025 is the year I started making music and videos. Thanks for making it a great year. Hope to see you all in 2026!
