Sea trout fishing with handmade lures is just pure fun!
In this video, I’ll show you how to make your own coastal lure for sea trout fishing – from A to Z.
I’m starting with a small piece of scrap wood from an old pallet and turning it into a 7.5 cm / 16 g coastal lure inspired by the three-spined stickleback.
This lure is designed for shallow water and weedy areas, where traditional spoons and through-wobblers often get snagged.
Coastal lures like this are perfect for sea trout, because they swim higher in the water column and have a more lively, natural action — ideal for tricky conditions along the coast.
This video is especially great for beginners who want to try building their own fishing gear.
