Описание: London in 1180 was not a city that gave anyone space. Not space to think, not space to sleep properly, not even space to breathe without catching the smell of someone else’s fire, food, sweat, animals, or waste. Houses leaned toward each other over narrow lanes, voices carried through thin timber walls, and daily life spilled out into the street because there was almost nowhere else for it to go. Privacy, in any modern sense, barely existed. Comfort was uneven, fragile, and usually reserved for the few. Quiet was something you might find only by accident, and never for long. This is a look at what it actually felt like to live inside medieval London before stone streets, sanitation, and personal space — when the city was crowded, loud, damp, intimate, and impossible to escape.
