Maricopa Co. has seized more than 7,000 pounds of what it says is unsafe meat in a crackdown on unlicensed street vendors.
It says the vendors are difficult to shut down permanently because they move to new locations.
A distinguishing feature of the stands is a vertical rotisserie with a spit of meat, typically for al pastor tacos, left out in the open.
