Join me on a gnarly 16-mile mountain bike ride through the urban singletrack of Wissahickon Valley Park, right in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I was riding my Transition Spire GX Alloy build (XL frame) with Michelin Wild Enduro tires and CushCore inserts, and this bike was made to tear through both high-speed flow and techy rock sections.

Wissahickon is an urban MTB paradise, offering over 2,000 feet of elevation gain, 16 miles of challenging trails, and a surprising amount of natural beauty and wildlife—including posted coyote sightings! This 3.5-hour session delivered a serious workout, tons of stoke, and some of the best city-based mountain biking you can find in the Northeast.
