One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says while she "believe(s) in medicinal cannabis" and the decriminalisation of marijuana, she did not believe it should be legalised for recreational use.
"I think the impact it can have on a person's health and their state; it can affect their driving, their working," she said.
"I've heard different things people say; it can't affect men with their sperm count. It affects the mental stability of people and I just don't think we need to have marijuana legalised.
"If the government was really concerned about people's health, they would ban cigarettes."
